Clinical Director – Physical Therapist (Outpatient Orthopedics)

Portsmouth, NH | Relocation Support Available
Salary: $120,000–$140,000 + Performance Bonus

CJ Physical Therapy & Pilates is hiring a Clinical Director – Physical Therapist for our cash-based outpatient orthopedic practice. This hybrid leadership role maintains 27–30 treatment hours per week while owning clinical standards, mentorship, and department performance.

Raise the Standard. Lead From the Front.

If you believe clinical excellence is non-negotiable - and that leadership should be earned in the treatment room - keep reading.

This is not an administrative seat.
This is not a reduced caseload.
This is not a “Senior PT with extra meetings.”

This is a high-producing clinical leadership role for a therapist who wants to multiply their impact beyond their own caseload.

About Our Practice

We are a 100% cash-based outpatient orthopedic practice serving active adults 40+ who want to avoid pills, injections, and surgery.

Our model includes:

• 1:1 patient care
• Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT) as our core evaluation framework
• Structured mentorship and ongoing clinical development
• A culture of accountability and performance
• A focus on long-term outcomes beyond symptom resolution
• Integration of Pilates-based rehab and regenerative technologies (Shockwave + EMTT)

We are growing and strengthening our systems - and we need a clinical leader who can protect and elevate our standards as we scale.

Clinical Director Responsibilities

• Maintain 27–30 hours of patient care per week
• Lead by example in clinical reasoning, diagnosis, and plan-of-care development
• Own department-level clinical KPIs and outcomes
• Monitor and improve plan-of-care completion and package conversion metrics
• Lead structured case review and ongoing clinical training
• Mentor and develop clinicians through 1:1 coaching
• Conduct performance conversations and hold accountability when needed
• Build and refine clinical SOPs and training systems
• Serve as the practice’s “Chief Training Officer” as we prepare for future expansion
• Partner with the Founder & CEO to align clinical performance with business growth

Leadership in this role remains grounded in patient care.

• Prior leadership experience (formal or informal)
